  • We strive to foster hope and collaboration through fundraising, advocacy, and civic participation. Capitola Cares supports community well-being in the areas of health, education, economic vitality, environmental stewardship, public safety, and lifelong enrichment — while encouraging residents to take an active role in shaping their community’s future.

  • In its first year Capitola Cares contributed to Second Harvest Food Bank, Grey Bears, Soquel High School Farm to Table Program, The Volunteer Center Adopt-A-Family Program, Monarch Services Pajama Program, New Brighton Middle School, Capitola Junior Guards and Mid-County Senior Center. We established scholarships for Capitola residents through the Cabrillo College Foundation, and to children attending summer programs at the Santa Cruz Children’s Museum of Discovery.

  • Conducting a donor campaign to rebuild the historic arbor and rehabilitate the historic fountain in The Park at Rispin Mansion.

  • The Rotary Club of Capitola Aptos is an early contributor to this campaign. Any funds raised above our goal will be used for further park enhancements.
